We have recently launched a new green initiative to cut down on glass wastage by asking customers to return their empties.

The scheme asks Brewery Store customers to return eight or more empty bottles in exchange for a ten per cent discount off their next purchase.

Despite having only having started in July, the brewery now receives around 50 bottles a week from regular customers, which adds up to over half a tonne of glass saved per year.

Jodie Ringer, our Store Manager at the brewery said: "We are really pleased with the response to the initiative, our customers love the idea of being able to help the environment and get cheaper beer at the same time. It has been getting increasingly popular and hopefully the trend will continue as more people hear about it."

For more information on the recycling scheme call the Brewery Store on 01425 471177.
