Château de Fayolle
RINGWOOD BREWERY acquired the Château de Fayolle vineyard from the receivers in August 1997, just before the harvest. Since then we have made a huge investment in the vines - we replaced 2000 posts in 1998 alone - and have renewed all the vinification plant bringing significant improvement to the quality of the wines.
Our Wines
Bergerac Sec - A refreshing fruity blend of Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc, a light zesty wine with peach, lime and pink grapefruit aromas
Bergerac Rosé - Made from Cabernet Sauvignon by the saignée method, this is perfect summer wine with a vibrant deep pink colour and aromas of strawberry and ripe cherries.
Bergerac Rouge - A blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, a soft red wine with light tannins and acidity balanced by the freshness of ripe juicy red fruit and notes of redcurrant and raspberry
Cuvée Marcassin - Made from 60% Cabernet and 40% Merlot. A gentle oakiness from French barrels marries well with the structure and adds a touch of vanilla to the long finish.
Saussignac - Pale yellow with hints of gold, this barrique-fermented wine is made from botrytised Sémillon grapes matured gently in the autumn sun creating a luscious wine with intense aromas of candied fruits and orange zest with a hint of apricot and vanilla.
Méthode Traditionnelle - Our Blanc de Blancs is a dry sparkling Sémillon with gentle acidity, rich fruit and lively bubbles.
